Official: 20-Percent Rise in Iran’s Exports to Europe

TEHRAN (FNA)- Deputy Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mir-Aboutaleb Badri voiced satisfaction in the growing trend of Iran’s exports to Europe, and called on Iranian traders, industrialists and investors to do their best to strengthen their partnership in European markets.

“The value of Iran’s exports to Europe hit $541 million in the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2014-May 22, 2014) which showed a 20-percent growth as compared with last year’s corresponding period,” Badri said on Monday.

The official pointed to Turkey, Italy, Russia, Spain and Britain as main export destinations of Iranian commodities, and said, “Iron, steel, copper-made cathode, cathode parts and pistachio consisted Iran’s main export items (to Europe).”
